Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions effective from March 2025
By agreeing to our terms and condition you are confirming that you have read the Terms and agree to be bound by them. These terms, constitute a contract between you (the client) and us (THE PILATES GROUP LTD).
1:1 - Booking classes/any session at The Pilates Barn
All bookings shall be made via The Pilates Barn Website or dedicated app. The cost of all classes and membership benefits will be clearly displayed on these platforms. It is the customers responsibility to ensure they have booked correctly onto classes/sessions and the correct payment has been made.
All customers must have agreed to the health consent before commencement on any classes at The Pilates Barn with The Pilates Group LTD.
Classes can be booked via the following options/packages

Membership
The following applies for each booking option
1:1a PAY AS YOU GO:

Payment must be made at time of booking via our website or app.

A 12 hour cancellation period is required to cancel a session with full refund.

Any cancellations within 12 hours of a class will be charged in full.

Any customer of whom cancels 3 or more times consecutively, within the 12 hour window, will be contacted directly in regards to their future attendance at The Pilates Barn - this is to ensure opportunity for other customers to attend class.

Pay as you go credits are non transferable and must be used by the customer of whom booked the class/session.
1:1b CLASS PASS:

Payment must be made at the time of purchase via our website or app.

The amount of sessions available within a class pass will be clearly displayed on the website and app.

The expiry date of the class pass will be clearly stated on the website (in most cases, 6 months)

Class passes are non refundable or transferable and must be used by the customer of whom purchased the pass.

Any cancellations of a class booked with a class pass, within 12 hours before a class, will be deducted from class credits.

Any customer of whom cancels 3 or more times consecutively, within the 12 hour window, will be contacted directly in regards to their future attendance at The Pilates Barn - this is to ensure opportunity for other customers to attend class.

Purchases of multiple class passes at one given time is prohibited. All passes within one pass must be used or expired before the purchase of another pass.
1:1c MEMBERSHIPS:

Memberships must be applied for online via our website or app.

Additional classes and class passes can be purchased in addition to a membership.

Memberships require the customer to sign into a 3 month minimum contract period.

A 2 week notice period is required to cancel any membership.

To terminate your membership contract the customer must write to The Pilates Group LTD via email (info@thepilatesbarnselby.co.uk).

Memberships are non refundable or transferable and must be used only by the customer of whom has obtained the membership.

Any cancellations of a class booked within a membership, within 12 hours before a class, will be deducted from their membership package.

Any customer of whom cancels 3 or more times consecutively, within the 12 hour window, will be contacted directly in regards to their future attendance at The Pilates Barn - this is to ensure opportunity for other customers to attend class.

1:2 Cancelling your booking and no shows:
A 12 hour cancellation period is required to cancel a session with full refund. This can be done via your members area online.
Any cancellations or no shows within 12 hours of a class will be charged in full or deducted from your class pass or membership.
Any customer of whom cancels or fails to show to 3 or more times consecutively, within the 12 hour window, will be contacted directly in regards to their future attendance at The Pilates Barn - this is to ensure opportunity for other customers to attend class.
In the event The Pilates Group LTD cancel your booking:
In the event that The Pilates Barn need to cancel a class/session, all customers in affect will be contacted direct at the earliest opportunity. The customer will then be given the option of a full refund/credit to their account or a rescheduled session at another convenient time for the customer.
1:3 Booking confirmation:
Bookings are not complete until the customer has received a booking confirmation via email. Please make sure a booking confirmation has been received attendance of a class. If a confirmation is not received please contact The Pilates Group LTD by phone or e-mail. All Sessions are offered as subject to availability. Availability is not guaranteed at any time.
1:4 Attending late to a session:
The Pilates Group LTD operates a policy which prevents participation in a class if a customer arrives are more than 10 minutes late. This policy is in place to prevent injury and in order to be mindful and considerate to the teacher and other participants in the Session. Whereby the customer is not permitted to join a class due to late attendance it shall be classed as a no-show for the purposes of clause 1:2. It is the instructors sole discretion for acceptance to class.
2:1 Personal belongings
The Pilates Group LTD will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings when attended a class or visiting The Pilates Barn.
3:1 Confidentiality
Customer information will be kept confidential at all times. Information shall not be disclosed to a third party except where required by law or for protection of the customer or others.
All personal data shall be stored in accordance with the 2018 data protection act.
4:1 Price changes
We reserve the right to review and change package prices periodically.
5:1 Marketing and online presence
For business development and marketing purposes photography and video footage may be obtained of class participation. By booking with The Pilates Group LTD the client agrees to video footage being taken, if at anytime the client wishes to not be filmed or photographed they are to contact The Pilates Group LTD direct and the appropriate removal of this footage will be fulfilled.

Customer may change or cancel a class booking via the app or website.
7:1 Fitness and Health consent
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions the customer hereby states that he/she is in good physical condition and is capable of engaging in the active and passive exercises set out during class at The Pilates Barn. Any illness and/or condition must be discussed with the instructor prior to starting the exercises.

It is the customer sole responsibility to notify The Pilates Barn before attending any session of any circumstances affecting their health which may be exacerbated through continuation of exercise and/or which may have arisen or worsened since their last session at The Pilates Barn (if any).

Customers are advised not to undertake strenuous physical activity without first seeking medical advice if they have concerns over their physical condition and wellbeing. Consult your medical professional to assess your physical condition to exercise.
Customers may train with us during pregnancy following our guidelines, but consult your medical professional before starting any exercise.

The Pilates Barn reserves the right to refuse access to any customers if, in its absolute discretion, it considers that the health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of Studio facilities.

Clients are required to follow the instructions of the instructor at all time
8:1 Limitation of liability
The Company cannot be held responsible for any particular session, instructor and/or item of Pilates equipment not being available for whatever reason. The Company reserves the right to make alterations to the sessions, instructors and/or equipment/facilities, provided to Clients, without notice.

It is the Clients responsibility to ensure that he/she is capable of undergoing a routine of exercises provided by any classes of which they attend. Clients accept the risk of injury from performing exercises and using specialist equipment. Advice provided by our instructors at no time constitutes medical advice in substitute for advice provided by a medical professional.

The Pilates Group LTD accepts no liability for loss or damage to property of Clients or for injury to Clients on the Studio premises or outside the Studio except as far as such loss, damage or injury is by law incapable of exclusion.

In consideration of their participation in the activities and classes with the The Pilates Group LTD and the use of facilities and equipment owned and/or under the control of The Pilates Group LTD the Client hereby waives and releases the The Pilates Group LTD from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages resulting from their participation in any of The Pilates Group LTD classes or use of the The Pilates Group LTD equipment or facilities save in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligent act or omission of the The Pilates Group LTD.
9:1 Dress code
Clients are requested to wear a form of dress appropriate to the practice of Pilates and The Pilates Group LTD recommends that Clients wear sports wear and grip socks when using the reformer, bare feet is recommended for those who do not have grip socks available.
10:1 Safety & Hygiene

In the interest of safety and hygiene, no crockery, glass or food are permitted in the changing rooms or studio. Only water is permitted in the Studio.

Clients must wear grip socks if they have any skin or fungal foot conditions.

Clients must use the main entrance to the Studio when entering or leaving the Studio. Fire exits, which are clearly marked, are accessible in the interests of safety and Clients must not interfere with these exits for any reason. In the event of a fire, Clients are asked to make their way to the nearest available exit.

Smoking and vaping is strictly forbidden in the Studio, car park or surrounding areas of The Pilates Barn.

Our studio is CCTV operated.

11:1 Force Majeure
The Pilates Group LTD shall not be liable to the client or deemed to be in breach of these terms, if for any reason The Pilates Group LTD fails to comply with any terms outlined in these terms and conditions, if the breach was caused by any means beyond the control of The Pilates Group LTD, for example, acts of god, terrorism, explosion, flood, storm, fire, war, riot, civil disturbance, regulations by law or local authority, power failure, breakdown of machinery or natural disasters.
12:1 CONSENT
By booking a class with The Pilates Group LTD at The Pilates Barn you (the client) adhere to the above terms and conditions and consent to participation in classes in regards to the above terms.
